How does IPL work?
Intensive Pulse Light (IPL) treatment is one of the most effective methods of treating skin damage and ageing in a non-invasive and safe way. IPL, unlike laser treatment, is a broad wavelength light that is pulsed onto the skin to promote skin rejuventation and collagen production. It can treat a wide variety of conditions at the same time including ageing and Rosacea. The treatment is pain-free and has minimal discomfort and downtime, allowing you to return to normal activities straight away.
IPL treats Rosacea by using wavelengths that absorb Oxyhemoglobin which is responsible for the redness of the blood. Heat from the Intensive Pulse Light also destroys the capillaries found on the surface of the skin that cause rosacea.
Results can vary based on your individual skin concerns, and you may require multiple sessions to see the best results.
