Lip Blush (also known as lip tattoo or permanent lipstick) is a professional cosmetic treatment that uses a machine similar to a tattoo machine to create a soft and subtle blush all over the lip. This will result in fuller and more defined looking lips. The result is very subtle and will match your natural lip colour. Lip blushing doesn't actually change the shape or feeling of the lips, instead shading in the lips to enhance symmetry, cover uneven pigmentation or scarring, and create the illusion or fuller, plumper lips.
Semi-permanent lip blush can last for up to 3 years, and is completely smudge proof and waterproof.

Your therapist will apply a topical numbing cream that will significantly reduce any pain. You may feel a few sharp pinches or discomfort but no major pain.
Lip blush treatment is broken down into several stages including applying the numbing cream, outlining the lips, and the actual tattooing process. Overall this will take around 2-3 hours.
Recovery is similar to any other tattoo. You will experience some slight swelling and tenderness for a few hours but this will reduce quickly. The colour may also seem brighter than expected for the first few days, but will fade during the healing process. It will take around 5 to 10 days for the lips to heal superficially, but they will not fully heal until around 6-8 weeks after your procedure when you have your touch-up appointment.
Yes! Just try to avoid eating spicy food for up to 48 hours after lip blush as the lips will be extra sensitive.
Lip blush and lip fillers create very different results. Lip blush acts like a permanent lipstick, so the lips appear fuller and more defined, but don't actually change in size. Lip fillers increase the volume of your lips with hyaluronic acid. Lip fillers are also not permanent and can last between 6-18 months.
