Chemical Peel in Birmingham

Chemical peels use a chemical to peel off the surface skin layer as a means of skin rejuvenation. At Kat & Co, we provide both Obagi Blue Peel and Croton Oil Skin Peel.

Chemical peels aim to enhance the look and texture of the skin. In this process, the application of chemical solutions to the targeted area prompts exfoliation and subsequent peeling of the skin.

Once this occurs, the emerging skin appears smoother, showing reduced wrinkles and diminished sun damage.

What areas can chemical peels treat?

A chemical peel can be a life changing procedure, with many benefits including:

Fine Lines

Wrinkles

Oily Skin

Acne

Age Spots

Pores

Chemical peels be used on the face, neck, chest, hands, back, arms and legs.

How do chemical peels work?

The treatment process takes about 20 minutes, during which the Blue Peel will be applied in layers to the targeted areas. A mild to moderate burning sensation may be experienced with each layer of application.

The skin will begin to peel within two to three days and will continue for several days. There will be an initial redness in the treated area and the skin will also feel tight for a short period. Recovery takes on average seven to ten days.

The treatment process takes about one hour. Croton Oil Peel is an advanced skin peel that utilises 2 active ingredients: croton oil & phenol.

By varying its concentration, the peel is an effective & versatile mode of skin rejuvenation that is applicable to all ages and skin types.

The skin will begin to peel within two to three days and will continue for up to two weeks.

What are the benefits of chemical peels?

Chemical peels are suitable for men and women of all skin types and colours. They work by removing thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin from the face and other areas.

The underlying skin layers are in turn stimulated to form a revived and rejuvenated surface with improved skin clarity and texture, producing a healthier and more youthful appearance.
