In a year that was challenging for many sectors, it has been announced that cosmetic surgery saw a small increase in procedures performed during 2018.
These figures, released in the BAAPS Annual Audit on 20th May shows that the sector remained buoyant with over 28,000 cosmetic surgical procedures performed in the UK alone.
Based at the Royal College of Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) mission is to make aesthetic plastic surgery progressively patient-centric, regulated and fair; removing stigma and increasing the benefits to society.
Consultant Plastic Surgeon CC Kat said “Kat & Co Aesthetics has seen a steady increase in the number of procedures we perform and we are encouraged that the statistics are favourable for the UK as a whole in this audit.
“With the recent launch of our new four-storey Clinic located in Birmingham’s Edgbaston Medical Quarter (one of Europe’s premier healthcare districts) we are optimistic for a successful year ahead and the continued growth of Kat & Co Aesthetics.”
CC Kat is a full member of both the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and British Association of Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS), as well as several international aesthetic surgery associations. She worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and now runs her private practice, Kat & Co Aesthetics located at 20 Calthorpe Road, Birmingham B15 1RP.
