Our most recent advancement for surgeries in clinic is the introduction in April of TIVA which stands for Total IntraVenous Anaesthesia.

This method of anaesthesia allows us to perform rhinoplasty (or nose jobs!) and other more complex procedures as day surgery cases at our clinic in Calthorpe Road.

TIVA works in a similar way to Twilight Anaesthesia offering benefits to patients including a quicker and easier post-operative recovery with reduced risk of nausea and vomiting. The patient’s airway is protected with a breathing tube connected to a ventilator.

As with Twilight Anaesthesia, patients are well enough to go home from an hour and a half after surgery.
