Next, they’ll transfer a template (like a temporary tattoo) onto the skin that will act as a guide throughout the treatment.

Once you’re good to go, the clinician will apply the miraDry hand piece to the underarm, sending waves of thermal energy into the skin.
This energy is concentrated to the zone where the dermis meets the fat layer, heating up – and safely destroying – the sweat glands. Are there any side effects?

Wait – don’t we need sweat glands?
Good question. Thankfully, the body has 2-4 million sweat glands and only about 2% are found in the underarms. The rest of the body will continue to sweat normally, meaning it’ll have no problem cooling itself.
