Liposuction is one of the most popular modern cosmetic treatments. Conventional liposuction involves the use of a suction device to bulk remove fat and is an effective method for reducing volume. The refinement of techniques and technology now allows surgeons to move on to the next level – liposculpturing. Liposculpture differs from liposuction in that fat is removed in a more precise fashion in order to show up definitions, improve contour, at the same time as debulking.
My tool of choice for liposuction and liposculpture is the VASER. This is an ultrasonic device which selectively acts on fat. It effectively liquefies fats, enabling gentler, precise and thorough removal. There is less trauma on the surrounding tissue, less blood loss and greater skin tightening. It is an ideal tool for sculpturing.
In addition to honing my own technique and approach, I have also recently attended a masterclass  with Dr Alfredo Hoyos in Colombia. Dr Hoyos is the originator of High Definition Vaser Liposuction. With this technique, not only is fat removed to reveal the underlying muscle contours but it is reinjected into areas like the chest in males, breast in females, buttocks, calves etc to further enhance shapes and definitions.

High definition Vaser liposuction is carried out under general anaesthetic and usually involves a 1 night stay in hospital. The recovery is over a 1 to 2 week period. You will be required to wear a pressure garment for 4 weeks and have several sessions of manual lymphatic drainage over this period(included within the fees). The cost is from £7000 depending on the number of areas.
