We have been using Obagi skin products for a while. When we heard that Dr Zein Obagi (the Obagi in question) has started a new company and launched a new range of skin products, we decided to find out more and attended a 5 day seminar with him at the start of the year. 

Dr Obagi believes that good skin health involves activating skin cells through the use of active ingrediants like Retinol and Vitamin C (as opposed to passive ingrediants like Paraffin and Lanolin which essentially coat the surface of the skin). His concept of skin care is in the form of a continuous cycle of therapy, maintanance, daily skin care and prevention. 

The ZO skin products come in two ranges: Skin Health and Medical. The composition of the products enable physicians to tailor make skin care regimes to meet the patients’ individual needs and tolerance to reactions, and to continue to be involved in the patientts’ skin health beyond the treatment of specific issues like pigmentations.

We have seen impressive results with ZO products in our patients and ourselves personally. Skin health and skin care have become an important pillar in my clinic’s approach to anti-ageing and beauty and the ZO range has greatly enhanced our practice in that regard.
